Dr. Pyle was born in McPherson Kansas where he grew up until his family moved to Hutchinson. James attended Central Christian School until his graduation in 1996. He went on to receive his associates degree from Hutchinson Community College and his bachelors of science from Kansas State University. His education continued when he moved his wife and daughter to Philadelphia Pennsylvania to attend the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO). While at PCO he was a member of the American Optometric Student Association, and received the Harry G. Phillips Memorial Scholarship for academic marks.
His clinical experience includes 2.5 years as a module 2 primary care intern at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, a 5 month rotation with The Eye Doctors in Manhattan, KS, a 3 month rotation with Norman Vision Source in Norman OK, a 6 month rotation with the Anadarko Indian Health Services Clinic in Anadarko OK, and a 3 month rotation with the Thomas Lynch Pediatric Center of The Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Pyle received his Doctor of Optometry degree from PCO in 2006.
James and his wife Heather have two daughters, Karlee and Rylee, and two sons, Harrison and Jackson. Dr. Pyle is a member of the American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, and Westbrook Baptist Church/Venue 302.
