Talkabout God and the First Families
Stories from Genesis, Gather ‘Round, Fall 2010
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9

The younger preschool classes took fall walks in October on McPherson College campus. The children were able to visit Becki and Jd. Bowman and find out about their work. Other parents will also share about their jobs.
The older classes will explore the campus and look for fall changes during the first part of November. Many colorful fall leaves and pumpkins are on the walls.
Older class children will make “Thankful” class books after reading Thanksgiving is For Giving Thanks. It will be fun to create turkeys with feathers and turkeys with candy corn!
We will celebrate growth and learning at parent/teacher conferences on November 22 and 23. Thanksgiving vacation will be November 24-26.
We are very THANKFUL for our church family!
-Carol Temple, Director
