MAX has 4 Key Core Values we are proud of that make us different from any other insurance company:
#1: Stewardship
Stewardship can be defined as holding or managing something in trust for another. We help our members manage the stewardship of their property and lives through loss control and good underwriting practices. MAX practices good stewardship of its members’ assets, investing in life-affirming and life-enhancing funds. Good stewardship creates peace of mind.
#2: Community
MAX has its historical roots in the Anabaptist/Brethren/Quaker faith communities. This lineage defines our values and how we serve. We invite all persons of faith, regardless of denominational membership, who share our values of community and compassion to become part of the MAX community. Members know that premiums paid into MAX ultimately serve and stay in the church and community groups we insure. The ownership of MAX is guaranteed through its reciprocal (cooperative) structure. We build relationships based on trust, love, integrity and care to enable and build community.
#3: Mutual Aid
We provide tangible help, care and support in time of need—insurance related or not—through our program of mutual aid ministries. We set aside a tithe of our insurance income each year from all entities of MAX to address ministry needs and integrate with constituent congregations, conferences and denominations we serve. We sustain W H O L E N E S S and restore lives by focusing on the emotional, spiritual and financial needs of our constituency experiencing trauma, burden or loss.
#4: Spirit Centered
We believe that the divine presence of God is the greatest power on earth. It is the force that motivates, guides and heals. We listen to that divine guidance in our decision-making and planning. Our inner spiritual lives enable our outer abundance mentality—God’s creation is extravagant and we operate out of the provided and perceived abundance.
