The clinic is a two doctor optometric practice offering comprehensive vision examination services for adults and children. The Doctors also offer pre- and post-operative care for cataracts, glaucoma, and Lasik refractive surgery. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day. Emergency service includes treatment of foreign body, corneal ulcers, corneal abrasions, eye infections and sudden loss of vision. Drs. Jury and Farrar fit most types of contact lenses, including hard to fit, disposable, bifocal, toric for astigmatism, rigid and colors. Two vision therapists are on staff and provide vision therapy and rehabilitation to 30+ patients per week. Vision therapy is especially useful in treating children's vision deficits which cause reading problems due to tracking, teaming and focusing problems. The optical department offers fashion designer eyewear including, Oakley, Vera Wang, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Juicy Couture, D&G, Versace, Ed Hardy, and many others. The lab can fit special order lenses including progressives (no line bifocals), transitions lenses, safety glasses, computer lenses, and high index lenses (thin lens design). The opticians edge lenses in-house. Most single vision glasses can be manufactured in an hour. Free adjustments are available by walk-in or appointment. Our optometric practice was started in Liberal during the 1960's by Dr. James Parsons. The practice was purchased by Dr. Jim Jury in 1988. Dr. Jeff Hill practiced with Dr. Jury during the 1990's. Dr. Ryan Farrar purchased the practice from Dr. Jury in 2005.
