At the Law Offices of Tim J. Larson, JD, PA, we are Estate Planning and Trust attorneys. We assist single and married individuals, parents with young children, retirees, farmers and ranchers, small business owners and professionals from all over the State of Kansas with all types of estate and business planning, including business succession and asset protection.
In the simplest of terms, we assist clients to "get their affairs in order." This may include drafting powers of attorney that are specific to the client and the client's needs, Living Wills to address end of life concerns that may include special "comfort care" provisions, or authorizations for the release of medical information to immediate family members or others under the federal law that makes medical information protected and private (HIPAA). We educate our clients about their options, create and implement revocable living trusts, draft wills with special provisions for minor children, coordinate beneficiary designations on various assets such as life insurance, annuities and IRA's. We also address asset protection, income tax and estate tax concerns as well as Medicaid eligibility issues. We understand and can explain why it might be important to consider the use of Special Needs (or Supplemental Needs) Trusts, Guardianships and Conservatorships.
In addition to estate planning, the types of services we provide include assisting families with issues that arise after a death has occurred, such as developing a working plan for the completion of necessary tasks. If probate is necessary, we assist in that process as well as provide guidance for trust administration, estate tax issues and creditor concerns.
Attorneys Tim J. Larson and Logan Brown have the experience to design a plan to address all types of sophisticated planning issues, including the use of Family Limited Partnerships, Charitable Trusts, and many other recognized sophisticated techniques. Our offices are conveniently located near 21st Street and Ridge Road, in the Reflection Ridge Office Park in Northwest Wichita.
We are committed to exceeding our clients needs and expectations. We DO NOT practice criminal law, family law, personal injury law, bankruptcy, medical malpractice, employment law, environmental law, or constitutional law.
