The Valley State Bank is located in the state of Kansas and the city of Syracuse. Syracuse is located along the banks of the Arkansas River and along the Santa Fe Trail in the extreme western part of the state. Chartered on July 5, 1905 it was quickly established as one of the leading financial institutions of the area.

Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program
Valley State Bank is participating in the FDICs Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDICs general deposit insurance rules.
