Dr. Richard Korentager has been in practice since 1989 and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), which is the nation's most prestigious organization of board certified plastic surgeons specializing in cosmetic surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr Richard Korentager earned his medical degree at the University of Toronto. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Toronto. Additionally, he has also completed a fellowship training in both hand surgery and breast surgery. Dr. Korentager is a current member and past president of the Kansas City Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is currently serving as medical director for the Burnett Burn Center at the Kansas University Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery for the University of Kansas Medical School. Dr. Korentager is a published author on numerous medical topics. During his years in practice, Dr. Korentager has been featured on the Discovery Channels Medical Miracles and has been called on by the media many times to comment as an expert on plastic surgery.
