Anderson Scandinavian Tours is a full service tour company specializing in travel to Scandinavia. Founded in 1988, Anderson Scandinavian Tours, a subsidiary of Scandinavian Heritage Products Inc., is owned and operated by Dean and Charlotte Anderson. Each stop on our tours is personally arranged, and a dedicated team of tour escorts, tour guides, and bus drivers work together to ensure a trouble-free vacation for you. At Anderson Scandinavian Tours we truly "Travel the Back Roads" visiting the unusual as well as popular sites. We also tailor-make any pre/post tour travel arrangements requested by tour participants.

Climate and Clothing: Temperatures in Scandinavia range from the low 50's to 70's in May and September and the high 60's to low 90's in June, July and August. It will be cooler in the mountains. Expect some cloudy days and some rain. Bring comfortable walking shoes. Dress slacks or skirt and a shirt or sweater is acceptable in hotel dining rooms.

Tour Escorts/Tour Guides:
Included in the price of the tours is the assistance of a tour escort who will meet the group at Chicago O'Hare International Airport or Newark Liberty International Airport and be with the tour in its entirety. Smaller groups of less than 15 participants will be met in Scandinavia by an authorized Swedish tour escort/guide who will meet the group upon clearance of customs at the arrival airport in Scandinavia. You will have his/her assistance until the group departs Scandinavia at the end of the tour. In some cases, our American tour escorts are qualified to serve as guides in Scandinavia. All tour guide/escort responsibilities end at time of airport security screening to return to the U.S.A. at the end of your tour.

Anderson Scandinavian Tours chooses high quality hotels that offer premium comfort and excellent service. All hotels have private baths or shower. Rooms in Scandinavia tend to be smaller than in the United States, especially single rooms. Triple rooms are generally a double room with a rollaway bed. Most hotels in Scandinavia are not air conditioned but this is offset by the mild climate.

Included meals are specified in the tour itineraries, breakfast is always included. When dinners are included they are 1 or 2 course meals with a predetermined menu. Drinks are extra. At many Norwegian hotels the evening meal will be a Smrgsbord with a variety of dishes.

Transportation: For touring, we use motor coach, mini bus/van, ship, train, express boat or ferry. The mode of transportation depends on the size of the the group and the tour chosen. Most motor coaches are equipped with toilet and air conditioning. Daily rotation of seats makes the trip equally enjoyable for all tour participants. Our drivers are experienced, friendly, helpful and speak English. Smoking is not allowed on tour coaches.

Enjoyment of the tour will be greatly enhanced if tour participants are in relatively good health and are able to keep up with the group most of the time. Consult your physician before traveling if you have any doubts.
